This Skinny Tree Might not be as old as me But each time I see this tree It brings back memories Decorated with tinsel Lights of Red, Blue, Green and Gold Casting their strange shadows across the wall And scattered around this tree Ornaments some older than me Each holding a distant memory At the top of this skinny tree An angel sits staring down at me Casting her own brilliance upon us This Skinny Tree and me.
